Whitethorn Woods review from Book Look

It's time to go green. I'm not talking about global warming I'm talking about celebrating St. Patrick's Day with a fine Irish read. The newest Maeve Binchyy novel "Whitethorn Woods" will bring some green into your life.

'Tis a lilting collection of character sketches linked by the wee Irish town of Rossmore and magical well of St. Ann's where the desperate seek a miracle. Now the shrine and the woods are in danger of being destroyed by a new highway and causing quite an uproar among the grand folk of Rossmore. Although there are no leprechauns, Father Flynn and his parishioners are enchanting.

You'll feel quite transported to the land of Darby O'Gill as you read each chapter named for the character whose story it tells. It really is a book with many charms - lucky charms.
